Once, practically any native English-speaking Caucasian could land a job teaching English abroad. These days, that's just not good enough.
Parenting abroad and across the ocean requires strong family communication.
Having a TEFL certification can mean better schools, better pay, and may even be required for a work visa. But which kind of course should you choose?
As volunteering overseas takes off, growing pains lead to new challenges for the field and for volunteers.
My advice for high school graduates about to head out on their gap year adventures.
